Pixhawk Phantom UAV - Introduction

This project sets up a Pixhawk autopilot in a phantom FX-61 radio controlled plane. The Pixhawk flight controller board uses the Audupilot software that the APM flight controller board uses. The Pixhawk, however, supports continuing software development whereas the software for the APM board is no longer being developed. The Pixhawk is a much more capable flight controller.

The plane is a Phantom FX-61 flying wing version 2 with a wingspan of 1.55m. The transmitter is a FrSky Taranis X9D. The autopilot flight controller board, as mentioned above, is the Pixhawk with Arduplane software installed. The PC support software is Mission Planner.
