DX7 Transmitter Configuration

The complete configuration of the Spektrum DX7 transmitter is described here.

 

 

Channel Allocation

Channel 1 = Throttle
Channel 2 = Left elevon
Channel 3 = Right elevon
Channel 4 = Steering
Channel 5 = Guided mode reset
Channel 6 = Autopilot Mode
Channel 7 = Geofence enable

Controls Summary

The transmitter is mode 2. This means ..

Left stick up/down = elevator.

Left stick left/right = rudder/steering.

Right stick up/down = throttle.

Right stick left/right = aileron.

The rudder stick only controls the steering. The aircraft has no rudder.

 

The autopilot modes are controlled by combinations of the 2 position rudder switch and the 3 position flap switch.

They are summarised in this table.

The rudder switch also controls the dual rate selection. This means that different rates can be used by the two Manual modes in the table.

The AUX2 switch enables the geofence in position 1, disables it in position 0.

The GEAR switch resets a geofence breach from Guided mode back to the previous mode when in position 1, inactive in position 0.
