Timer – Use a Timer to Record Accumulated Flight Time

Switch SA is used to control timer 2 counting up. The accumulated time is retained even when another model is selected or when the radio is turned off.

 

Switch SA is used to pause and run timer 2 but not reset it.

SA- is used to pause timer 2,

SA↓ is used to run timer 2.

 

The ‘persistent’ parameter of timer 2 is set to ‘Manual Reset’ to retain the timer’s value when another model is selected or when the radio is turned off.

Model Setup Screen

In the Model Setup screen, set Timer 2 to run and pause as follows.

The timer runs when switch SA is down. The timer is paused while switch SA is not down.

Set the duration to 00:00 so that the timer will count up instead of down.

Persistent

 

Manual Reset = timer is reset only when manually reset.

If you tick this, the remaining time will be called at every minute.

Countdown

 

Silent = announcement only at zero,

Resetting Timer 2

To reset timer 2 to 00:00, from the main screen, press ENT LP. On the pop up menu, select ‘Reset’. On the next pop up menu, select ‘Reset Timer 2’.

Check That It Works

On main screen 1, timer 2 value is displayed.

When switch A is up or in the mid position, the timer pauses at the current value.

When switch A is down, the timer counts up.

Turn the radio off and then on again. On main screen 1, check that the value of timer 2 is retained and not reset to 00:00.
